Searched all over for this one and can't seem to find an answer. This one is on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't figure it out!
Hi Kevin. Looks to me like a customised Insignia by Neville Brody.
Yes, and to rephrase Stephen – Insignia without the extended crossbars could be Bonn.
Yes, I think this could be Bonn. The typeface was originally designed for the KAH Bonn, but has also been employed by Neville Brody for his redesign of the ORF identity (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation). Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to track down a full specimen of Bonn. Maybe Paul Stonier can help?
By the way, visiting that link I was confirmed once again in my love of the German language.
KUNST UND AUSSTELLUNGSHALLE DER BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND
Wow! English can't even come close to such grand expressiveness. Even if it wasn't in all-caps. :)
And nice to see they're holding an exhibition on James Cook travellin' down my way.
Oh, sorry Paul – I intended to send you a message, but forgot about it. Google Alerts to the rescue! Thank you for chiming in, and confirming.
As you seem to have access to Bonn, could you post a full sample of this typeface, showing the UC and lc alphabet plus figures, please? That would be very helpful for future IDs. Thanks!
