(x) New York Times Sunday Magazine headlines - Cheltenham (custom version) {Carl C}

The lady in front of me on the airplane was reading this magazine that had beautiful typography, I just had to snap some pics. I'll be extra thankful if you can ID the magazine as well!

That is the New York Times Sunday Magazine. Somebody will be along shortly to tell you all about the types.

Is that M. Carter's custom Cheltenham? I know it's a Cheltenham.

The headline typeface is a custom Cheltenham designed by Matthew Carter:

It must be a custom version of his Cheltenham. I can't find this version anywhere.

As far as I know, it was commissioned for exclusive use by the NYT, so unfortunately you won't be able to find this exact version anywhere, unless they decide to release it to the public.
