Hi

Would really like to id the headings and sub headings of these 3 newspapers:

New York Times

Los Angles Times

Would be great to get any of them...

Thanks!

The NYT's headlines and subheads are based on the Cheltenham family. (ITC Cheltenham Bold Condensed, ITC Cheltenham Condensed, ITC Cheltenham Regular, ITC Cheltenham Bold)

NYT uses a custom Cheltenham drawn by Matthew Carter. Here are other versions of Cheltenham.

eston and I in unison! Actually, they are closer to the Cheltenhams by E+F, Bitstream, and URW. ITC Cheltenham has that monstrous x-height.

See look, I learned something new. I thought they used the ITC variants.

Here's the Typographica post on the Times type.

Seems Matthew Carter designed the font (Miller) used in the Dallas Morning News too.

Here's an article on the type in the LA Times
