What type should i use to get an effect like this?

missgiggles

I will have to hand draw this unless you could direct me to a typeface similar to this but if I was to hand draw, what typeface should i use for this?

I believe this is called Action Jackson, from Divide By Zero. I’ll find a link.

Here, about three quarters of the way down the page.

Why not just start drawing “outline block capitals”, add a “3D shadow”, and see how it works out? You can use just about any sans serif typeface as a reference for what the alphabet looks like, if you forget the shape of some of the letters :-) Alternatively, for a more authentically inept vernacular look, perhaps it would help do be slightly unfamiliar with the alphabet, so you could try doing it totally plastered.

Now y’re talkin’

just about any sans serif typeface

On second thoughts, start at the beginning. (See your Egyptian thread.)

I’m with Nick on this one. While there are some really nice looking fonts like this, you’ll probably get a better result by drawing the letters in a way that really works with your overall composition.

And designing plastered should be a general rule—death before sobriety!

Thanks Lex. I really really appreciate it. Thank you so much. You have made my day. :D I am working on a Mac but i found put how to do download.
For all who don’t know: I went to the Frequently asked question page http://fonts.tom7.com/faq/ and went down to the last question, click on THE LINK which is an actual link and it will start downloading straight away so there isn’t an actual page to go to but directly downloads. Thank you Lex.

I’ve tried this, but I always get too sleepy!

I’m in agreement: try doing it yourself. Anything with a “hand-feel” should ultimately be rendered with the hand.

Thank you all for your time.

Sorry I came late, but I look at it and it reminds me of Caveman.

Thanks Jackie.
