How to get Adobe Garamond Premier Pro after registration of CS2?

Sebastian Nagel

Dear Typophiles,

I know you are not the support-forum for adobe, but maybe someone knows anyway:
I registered my copy of CS2, to get my “free Garamond Premier Pro” as a benefit, but after registering via help —> registration and filling out the form, nothing happens.
Further, I don’t find any information on the adobe website how to get the font, the only information I can find is that der *is* the font as one of some possible bonus (the same information I already have printed in my manual addition).
... But no forms, logins, download-links...

Thanks for your help
Sebastian

sebastian,
i’ve recently had the same problem! supposedly adobe is supposed to send you an email after you register your products, but i never got one. i filled out a on-line customer service request, and still haven’t heard from them. maybe Thomas can fill us in...

Seb, did you go through another site than the US-one? Try that one: adobe.com.
There are restrictions depending on where you live…

Quoted from Adobe.com Support Forums:

“When you registered, there was a link to the offer at the bottom of that web page, as I recall. Go back to that page, and register again, if necessary, then take advantage of the offer. “

I live in Austria, and tried the US- and the “austrian” domain...
Nothing helps.

paul: I didn’t get an email after registration, but it seems not to be a spam filter problem, as I just got 2 mails from Adobe when trying to change my account-password.

miss tiffany: i’ll try that :)

first I registered via indesign help menu... so no webpage involved...

i thought one of the stipulations was that you register the product in-application as described here:

http://store.adobe.com/store/productregistration/options.jhtml -
and
http://www.adobe.com/support/registrationoffersfaq.html

ok, now I tried website-re-registration.
No link, no mentioning of the benefit... :(

I had the same problem with the email back from Adobe. I ended up having to tell my ISP not to block their domain. I then called Adobe and they resent the email. It was a pain and took weeks to resolve.

there ought to be a simpler way...

Bit Torrent!

I don’t know, I got mine via email. Just followed the prompts.

Adobe is always a pain to deal with.

Actually, Adobe was quite helpful to me on the phone. I had more trouble getting the spam filter redone. I don’t know why everything else I get from Adobe comes through with no problem though. It may be that they contracted with some “fulfillment” firm to handle it.

not true. i just had some excellent customer support the other day. sorry your experience has been otherwise.
