Vanessa Riley hybrid logo - sans and slight serifs

evan

Can anyone ID this font - or is custom like so many other perfume and fashion designers’ logos?

I’m guessing custom (couldn’t find it among the semiserif at myfonts) but Invoice is very similar

Ah, the classic mutiliate-a-classic-font philosophy of custom type design.

hhp

mutilate what - maybe Optima?

The prime candidate is usually Trajan.
Got a better/bigger image?

hhp

nope, from webpage, ugh

www.vanessariley.com/homepage

Optima looks to require less tweaking than trajan would

You might go the route of a face that is already hybridized like ITC Binary or Golota.

> ITC Binary

Like I was saying, mutiliate-a-classic-font (Rotis)...

> Golota

Huh, what a nice “S” he “ended up” with!... :-/

hhp

Berndal’s Golota is very similar to Optima, yes, but not as refined of course:

Golota ’S’
Optima ’S’

Rotis already has a semiserif.

Cicero isn’t bad either

Check out New Age as well

Wasn’t there a typeface at one time named Oneiota or Iota that looked like this?

> Rotis already has a semiserif.

Yeah, but not one that’s been through the
Heavy cycle of a washing machine I guess.
