This is an odd one! I know the font I am looking for is probably called Walbaum Condensed.

Does anybody know a vendor and who designed it? Does anybody know of good substitute?

Well wouldn’t you believe it?! I found it myself! It’s called Walburn by Agfa-Monotype!

Walburn was designed by Nick Shinn, a frequent contributor to Typophile. In addition to Fonts.com (Agfa-Monotype), it’s available from MyFonts, FontHaus, FontShop, etc.
