I think this should be easy, but for the life of me I cannot find this font. The client told me it's called "Subway" (he's on a PC, I'm on a Mac). I can't seem to find the Mac equivilant.

What's with all the sports related type questions. For all the crap done in the sports arena of type design, I am surprised anyone
with those interest cares about type. Forgive me for sounding like a typophile anti-sports psudo- intellectual designer, but really, who would rather sit around the TV and watch a bunch of
middle aged men chew tobacco and throw balls when they instead could be playing with bezier curves.

chew tobacco, grab their crotches and inject steroids into their veins.

On the subject of Baseball and Leslie Cabarga (Saber), see his take on a Baseball Script.

Ole, I don't enjoy watching beer bellies
wobble in the sun either, but let me just
take you to a Formula-1 race one day...

Hmmm, maybe it depends on what kind of type you like too? :->

I agree one should have multiple interest in life ...they should just not include baseball. I guess I am a bit sore on that issue as I live in Seattle where we just got a $655 mil stadium which the voters voted against twice. It is called Safeco Field after the insurance company that donated a few bucks and extorted the rest from citizens. To make things worse they build a new football stadium next to it at a similar cost. To bear the cost of these venues we the tax payers got taxed up the a** for all kinds of things like 50c tax on all movies..etc. I would like to see type designers get 1/1000 of the wages some of these middle aged tobacco chewin'
mot***f***** get payed for throwing balls.

Ole Ole!

To defend my interest in type and seeming interest in sports, specifically baseball; I love type and I really don't get into sports at all. I do however, work at a screenprinting company that produces a lot of NCAA licensed apparel. In fact most of the designers I work with don't like sports, even though it's a major component of our business. Go figure.

I am a little surprised with some of the judgemental/stereotypical respones. Who knew type geeks could be so catty!

unknown

Fellow designer. I placed the initial "anti-sports" posting with the intent to amuse. I am perhaps too sarcastic for my own good.
I am not personally interested in sports but hey to each his/her own.

unknown

I got the joke, ole. The "playing with bezier curves" comment gave it away.

unknown

Kyle, I wouldn't get too lathered up or worried about it. Sarcasm abounds at Typophile.

typophile keyword: pemberton.

Sometimes, with pixels for words, it's difficult to know shades of meaning. But hey, we all love type, in some shape or form.

As far as my comments...

I used to be a sportswriter, among other things. Rotisserie baseball. Did that. I still listen to Rome and watch Sportscenter regularly. But MLB lost me as a fan a long time ago. Its kind of pathetic to see how our National Pastime has deteriorated.

ole - next font name: sarcastica?

I am guessing I would properly become a big sports fan if they all used nice type on their team jerseys. I might even have voted for the
Safeco Field/Mariners Stadium if I had gotten the identity/branding package.

Sarcastica -Excellent choice. I will try to sell this one to the Rebublican 2004 branding campaign. I should properly do a a full family..I see it now... Sarcastica Sans Intelligencia, Sarcastica Egotista, Sarcastica Obscura,
Sarcastica Enronia, Sarcastica Haliburtanus,
Sarcastica Pretzelania. I might even do a Sarcastica Negra to please the public.

Don't forget Sarcastica Plutarchia via Democratia.
