Typeface from an old Walker Evans photo for type that says "Restaurant"

bfingeroth

Hi,

Hope you're well.

Can anyone identify the typeface of the word "Restaurant" in the attached Walker Evans photo. It looks like copperplate, but without the serifs. Blair is also close but not exact.

Thanks!

A suggestion: Copperplate

You may also consider some wide cut of Franklin Gothic

I clearly see serifs ;D

Zeppelin 42 Bold is closeish, you might also consider one weight of Adrianna Extended or Sweet Sans.

I'll add Modesto, better than Copperplate.

Nice suggestion! Thanks.

Thanks.
