Pixel font version of Verdana...

Hi all,

i am looking for a pixel font which is a close match of Verdana and works well at small sizes in Flash.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

I've found that FFF Star is a good pixel approximation of Verdana.

In fact a lot of the FFF fonts seem to be derived directly from rasterizations of "famous" fonts...

Tenacity from minifonts.com is excellent at works well at (and only) 10px. The site has a lot more pixel fonts. Another resource is www.fontsforflash.com which design fonts specifically for Flash use.

What (if any) are the legal/moral implications of such a practice?

Good question.

Legal: nothing.

Ethical: to me what would be nice is to give due credit to the source, and maybe alert the original designer of what you're planning, however reserving the right to go ahead or not depending on his reaction.
