New (old?) Heineken Logo

Dixon Yamada

Looks to me like it is based on an imprint from 100+ years ago. It may be something modern, simply 'styled' this way however. Either way I think it is a great example of where type fashion is at the moment--strangely looking back 100+ years or so. I guess thank you Read Dead Redemption. I guess thank you Clint Eastwood.

Good to see Heiny's inability to apply a true apostrophe dates back one hundred years.

WTF is Bond doing drinking Heineken?
Imagine the wine scenario in From Russia With Love transposed to beer: Robert Shaw would have ordered the Heineken, Bond a Bass or Guinness.

I look forward to future Bond movies set with historical accuracy in the 1960s.

WTF is Bond doing drinking Heineken?

There are about 45 million reasons for doing so.

That will give Mark Simonson the opportunity to add to his wonderful typecast thread.

Guinness with fish – tut!

@Ryan: The smallish type above the edge says ‘Limited Edition Episodes’ — so it is fair to guess that an image of an old beer bottle has been used.
