ID a serif font only by the characters BF 1886

ThomasB

Hi!

I know this is a long shot, but can anyone ID this font? Unfortunately, the only characters I got are the ones you can see at the attached image.

Thanks!

You should use the Edit link to move the thread out the "Solved IDs" section up to the main Type ID Board.

Haha, fail. As a total rookie — apparently — where do I find the Edit link?

ThomasB

Wrong section. Sorry. If anybody know how to delete this thread, please let me know.

For future reference, please post ID requests on the main Type ID Board:

http://typophile.com/typeid

There is no need to re-post this particular ID. It will be moved for you.

I'd say some version of Goudy Oldstyle - perhaps SB Bold, manually stretched.
