Yes, Hrant, Narkis Block is a sharp cornered 'sans'. I don't know whether there are really 'slab serif' Hebrews.

I don't think that it would difficult to modify Narkis Block to be a slab-serif version, weight compatible with KarnakPro-Bold.

Well, in Hebrew any serifs are tricky* and serifs that are supposed to be as thick as the stems are likely to introduce too much functional "noise".

It is a fiasco because the forms were weird to look at.

In my view, the aleph is too heavy and over-weighted compared to the other letters. Many designers do this, because the form of the aleph's middle bar is dominant.

It was actually in three Israeli magaine/booklet covers from many years ago that I perused at "fine" examples of Hebrew design here in the USA. I think that I saw them online.
