Ok so on further thinking, I've realised that what I love about it is that it is a monospaced font (which seems very fashionable at the moment). So, what I'm looking for is actually something that looks like a monospaced font but actually isn't, because that seems very impractical and a little dated.

Like this?

Certainly along those lines, although the tracking there is nuts and the proportions of the characters still seem pretty odd.

It’s a trio width. Or maybe quad. Who knows …

Ha, I didn't realise I was calling the proportions of your personal font odd. Where are my manners?

I merely thought I had been tricked into someone setting a monospaced font with 'Optical' spacing and putting egg on my face.

But hang on... looking at the lower case r, that is not the same font as on your website.

I need to go to sleep.

This is not on my website. Go get some sleep!

After some searching... this is the kind of thing I am talking about: http://fonts.gestalten.com/hellschreiber-sans.html

Maybe something like this?
