Chalet

Ju22

Hello everyone,

Im working on a logo and I was using Chalet-ParisNineteenEighty, but I realize I might need a font thats just a little bit bolder. I don't seem to be able to find the same thing but just a bit bolder. The other variations of chalet don't have the curves and raffinement of the paris one. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

If it's just for a word or two, you could do it by hand.
But be warned: a lot can go wrong. If you have a (modest)
budget to do it right please contact me: hpapazian at gmail dot com

If it doesn't contain r, t, y, f, or g, you could easily find some alternatives. It does really depend a lot on the exact letters your logo contains. In a pinch you can add a tiny bit of stroke or offset and then tweak the cuts that fill in.

The city names are in lieu of weight names, the years indicate different styles.
What you are looking for is London 1980.
Although it was really more like this:

Oh thats right it just seems so much bolder I wish there was an in between... I think Ill try to find another font.

FontLab can interpolate between (and even extrapolate from) two
weights of a typeface with good results. Of course producing an
entire font in this way would most probably violate the House
Industries license agreement; but taking two EPSs of a handful
of glyphs, interpolating those and producing a new intermediate
EPS is most probably OK. If you go this route you know who to
ask for help. :-) That's assuming the House boys themselves
don't want to do it for you.

Really? lol I have things to learn

Ah! :-) I guess Ju22 wasn't the first to need that...
BTW, your first link doesn't show an image though.

I know. Pretty elusive font, innit?

Just be super careful of the House Industries EULA.
