File Icon displaying "∑√≠" not "Abg" in windows

Hello,

I have searched the forums for a while now,
after battling through numerous problems with your help
I have created my first typeface and generated an OTF

However, the OTF file icon in windows is displaying "∑√≠" like it does with corrupted fonts. I can't identify a problem and neither can FontLab studio.

I have found a very weird thing though: in Illustrator's Glyph Pallette the glyps "À" and "É" show up as outlines, but when I write them they sow properly. What could this be?

If you're using FontLab, check the "Supproted codepages and default character set" tab. For some odd reason, FL occasionally—and arbitrarily—decides to assign "Symbol" to the Microsoft® Character set, which could be what's causing the problem.

Sounds like you may have duplicate outlines for those glyphs.

The duplicate outlines were perfectly sorted,

but in the "Supproted codepages and default character set" FontLab had assigned "Western (Latin 1) CP1252 / ANSI" it lists the PFM default character as space too. I fiddled with it but it didn't change much...

I fixed the problem!

Found the solution in another topic, turns out out I had to review my unicode ranges and add Greek to it!
