vintage circus-y fonts

carrie Marsh

I want to use some of these fonts to make a circus birthday invitation but have had no luck after searching for hours upon hours.

First, this is hardly ‘fonts’ at all, perhaps not even type. Much more likely this is *lettering* on a lithography.
So its only natural that you won’t find these particular “fonts” anywhere.

However, it will take you only seconds to find fonts like this and then you may use the “more fonts like this” function to the right to find even more of the kind. Good luck!

"The Culmination ...." and "September" are LHF Billhead.

"Appearing for One Night Only" could be P T Barnum.

This is clearly not vintage lithography, Andreas.

Richard Beatty Designs Overdressed.otf

LOY & POWELL PRESENT: could be Engravers Gothic
appearing for One night only: Stagecoach as a free (rip-off?) alternative to P.T. Barnum previously suggested
IN THE WEDDING SENSTATION OF THE YEAR: Carnavalee Freakshow
and, of: Victorian Ornaments 2

You all are wonderful. Now to decide if the price is worth it...
Oh and andreas- I hadn't noticed the more fonts like this option on myfonts (duh). Thanks for pointing that out!

Any thoughts on the Marysville Opera House font? I haven't been able to find anything with the softer serifs/curved Rs that that one has.

Sorry, ignore that last comment. I'm looking for the "unlike any other" font and then the "witness inspirating vows font" and the 12th (love how the bar on the T is curved and the bar in the H is raised).
Thank you all!

When you say "12th" I suppose you mean "4th"?

"4" is CrashNumberingSerif by Philip Krayna

"th" is LHF Hertford - Note that 'th' is set in lowercase

I think "unlike any other" & "witness inspirating..." are really small to identify,
try to upload a larger image if possible.

Hoping this is bigger without being too big.
This version has the 12th and then the "Historical Marysville..." (same font as "unlike any other".

I think you're right on the th. I looked at that font, but totally missed the rounded topped T. Apparently I've been looking for way too long.
When I looked at CrashNumberingSerif, the 2 isn't quite the same as what I'm looking for (though it is the 4 in my previous image). I've found a few close ones, but none with the exact 2.

I can't get the image inserted, so here is a photobucket link: http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu24/swampysugarbiscuits/internet/a2e97382.jpg

"12" is LHF English Rose

"Historical Marysville..." must be LHF Fairground

Thanks!

AT SIX O'CLOCK IN THE EVENING: Ross Antique Roman
HISTORICAL MARYSVILLE OPERA HOUSE: Fairground

What are inspirating vows and do I really wanna see them?

Did they finally get married?

Inspirating sure has me stumped DPape. :)

Any takers on that last "inspirating" font? LOL it will probably be another LHF one and I'm totally missing it. That's how it seems to go with me.
