hmmm... apparently the image thing didn't work, sorry!

1. I like the uncialish caps.
2. Text block, please!

hhp

here it goes. made some modifications, but no kerning, punctuation, or numerals yet

The lc looks great!
>> but some letters (o,g,y,j,y) are really producing some black dirt I think.
And an italic version?

Cool.
But like G said those closed loops are standing out too much.

hhp

new version:
Corrected (i think) the problems with the lc y, g, j, and o. Changed the lc e and R, and started with numerals and punctuation

thanks for the feedback!

Much nicer! The main problem left (for me) is the lc "o" - for one thing, it's a lot like an "e".

hhp

latest version. more puntuation, slight changes...

and here's the bold version.
i'm not too crazy about it, feel there's too much contrast between thick/thin strokes, but I can't find another solution at this scale...

Grayscale.

hhp

Fun.

Perhaps there's a way to 'optically' close those
loops (rather than literally)... Same problem
with the o, it's pretty dark. I'd also point out the
bowl of the cap R is too small. Open it up like
the P.

What if the finishing stroke on characters like
the h,m,n dropped a pixel below the baseline?

//joe

Pardon me for getting presumptuous... I couldn't
resist. (I'm only bothering because I think this
has a lot of potential.)

Here's some thoughts I had about the o--agreeing
w/ Hrant that the o is a bit of a stretch--as
well as my earlier suggestion for the m and n.

//joe

I wouldn't mind seeing the apex of the lc "s" overshoot the x-height by a pixel as well. That might help it stand apart from the lc "a" and "o".

Aside from this (and Gregory, Hrant and Joe's suggestions), it's a very interesting face, and I agree with Joe that it has great potential. It reminds me pleasantly of the old whimsical script-mimicking typewriter fonts, from the daisywheel and ball typewriter days.

Very nice work! Keep it up!

all of the descenders seems too dark in your roman(roman? un-bold?) version. maybe remove the center pixel in the lc "q"'s cross.

Lc "f,g,y" look off to me aswell. possibly remove the center pixel in the "g" an "y" at the cross. and maybe the bottom most pixel of the descender on each.
