Blow Up Titling Font

Hey all,

can anybody say what font we see here?

it’s the titling sequence of the movie "blow up" by michelangelo antonioni (1966).

my first thought was helvetica compressed but it doesn’t really fit.

any ideas?

It must be Block Gothic RR Extra Bold Extra Condensed

Very close but not exactly it - RR started doing fonts in 1991 - comma is not right as are a few others - what is Block Gothic based on since the Blow Up tiles are way before digital.

woah you’re awesome! i knew, you’d make it!

red rooster’s block gothic really fits my needs. (a client likes his drinks menu to be set in that kind of typeface)
