Logos with shapes instead of letters

jonathanhughes

I'm trying to find examples of Logos that use simple shapes in place of one or more letters. Right now, all I've come up with is Esprit (the E is just three horizontal lines), and Avid (The A, V, and D, are triangles in the style of transport controls (play, rewind, etc.).

Any other examples?

thanks!

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles is a good one.

nice! Thanks!

I also found AIWA, and IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America)

any others?

There are quite a few that have a star for A, if the word STAR is in the name.

The original logo used by Electronic Arts (their legal name was EOA).

thanks!
