Anyone out there been playing with the iOS5 beta?
I've been optimistically hoping that the iPad at least might come with a Light variant of Helvetica. It currently renders Helvetica Regular quite heavily and OSX has shipped with Helvetica Light (in addition to Neue Light and Ultralight) for a few years now.
Anybody able to check this out?
From what my friend (who is currently playing with iOS5) tells me, it looks like disappointment awaits.

Someone really needs to invent a tablet based computing device that allows end users to license and install their own fonts on it. Clearly a missed opportunity for Apple. ;-)
Thought I'd follow this up, iOS5 is out and it has quite a few new fonts. Nothing mind-blowing, but it does get a few workhorses like Helvetica Light, Helvetica Neue Light & Ultralight, Gill Sans Light... and Papyrus
24/58ths Helvetica-like substances, but the iPad and iPhone match! ;)
Are the »Marion« fonts new? I never noticed them before ...
