Does any one know the name of the font often used on katespade.com and in Jessica Hische's work? They look like the same font to me but maybe they're different.

They are different typefaces. The Kate Spade sample resembles DTL Nobel and Geometric 415 (aka Metro).
And the bottom two samples from Jessica Hische? Any thoughts on those?
It's possible those are custom letters. If you like this style, check out the champion of all engraver's gothics: Sweet Sans.
I'm pretty sure that Kate Spade has her own customized version of Futura Small Caps.
