PricewaterhouseCoopers

A H - S A could be interesting, or I guess you could research other legal branding systems to see what they're doing successfully in terms of wordmark creations.

@ sans sleep... thats a good idea but wonder how to put this long name into some design.. where it looks so compact and very elegant..
@ jerk store... yeah but Managment is pushy to use full name with AHSA

You could use services of the talented lettering men on Typophile.

I doubt if their clients actually refer to them by their long, unwieldy name. ("Hey Jane, call Alexander Hawthorn-Salman Ansari & Company for me.") They call them AHSA or some other shortened version.

I'd go with AHSA for the logo and spell out their full name in smaller type.

Think beyond just the 'design'. No one...NO ONE will remember that name, offer branding advice...which is to shorten the name. There's so much benefit in doing so.

I can see why they would prefer to have the full name appear, as there are a couple of AHSAs out there.

Australian Health Service Alliance
American HealthCare Services Association
Arabian Horse Society of Australia (this one made me laugh)

I don't know why they are. Clearly Mr. Hawthorn-Salman gets most of the logo real estate, Mr. Alexander gets less and there's virtually nothing left for Mr. Ansari. No fair if you ask me :)

Hi Bilh,

Below some (very) quick lay out options with a mark.

I agree with sans sleep: "You could use services of the talented lettering men on Typophile."

Thinking practical here ;-)

Thanks to everyone here those participated, i really appreciate this..
@timaarts you are a superstar...and thnx for your designs, it helped alot!!

LOL it says '(very) quick lay out options' dickhead. That's were the designing proces of long logotypes usually begins..

Since you haven't posted any sketches my guess is you have no clue were to begin.

You could look at schools, colleges, universities and hospitals etc - many have long, cumbersome names - 'Such and Such School of Applied Something and Whatever Sciences'

Acronyms also are not very effective from a branding or positioning point of view and people don't tend to remember them.

Unless the name shortens well. Like FCUK.
