(x) Kasch logo - (similar to) Tintoretto, Murillo {Mike F}

anonymous

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me ID the font used in this logo. I’ve searched and searched but havnt been able to find a match. Any help would be very appreciated
Thank you,
Tom

It might help to know the general age of the logo.

Two fonts I might mention:

1) Tintoretto is an old typeface, the only digital version I’m aware of is that of Dieter Steffmann. This font would yield the somewhat similar image below:

2) Does anyone have the font Murillo (or a fuller representation), from the Dover (Dan Solo) 24 Art Nouveau Display Fonts CD? The ‘A’ in the Solotype Catalog is similar, but that’s the only character in common with KASCH shown.

Murillo

Thanks a bunch Ignacio. Interesting. Murilllo’s ‘A’ in the Solotype Catalog is exactly like Tintoretto’s, but the one in Dan Solo’s font is quite different. Between the two, there seem to be the basic letterforms of that KASCH logo though, eh?

1. Thanks allot Mike! The logo has been the same for many many many years so natururally it had to be an old typeface.

2. The font is almost perfect, except the letter “H” Is it possible it could be a different type? Also, is there a typeface that would match that H?

Sorry, didn’t check the whole character set, you have that “A” as the only alternate.
The “H” could have been easily modified… ?

MURILLO_2

Thats what I thought too Ignacio, im gonna have to modify the H. Also, I’ve been looking on yahoo and such for the Murillo type but I’m having no luck. Is it only available on that CD? If so, where can i find it?

Thanks again, Ignacio.

Tom

Hey guys thanks for your help. Lol, $12 sounds good but when you’re pitchin a web site to a business that semi-interested and livin off “top ramen”…. well, you guys get the idea. Till i get a check I’ll have to stick to modifying what i have to make it look right, and thanks to you guys that will be much easier, plus then i can get that CD. Once again, Thanks Mike, Thanks Ignacio
