1970's -1980s (?) Mail Rail (London) logo/Sign

Luca DB

Hallo people, long time no see.

I found here

http://www.placehacking.co.uk/2011/04/24/security-breach-london-mail-rail/

a photo of this Sign? Logo? of the London mail rail. I wonder if it is completely custom or an existing/tweaked typeface. Thanks!
