Identify font from Bill printed on Mainframe printer

quiknot

I have tried whatthefont, identifont and typenavigator without luck to identify this font so I thought I would try the experts! This is from a bill produced by the company I work for but we are having a hard time trying to reproduce it on a different (Windows) system. It is printed on an IBM (I believe) printer from a mainframe program. I can produce more samples if needed. Thanks!!

How exact do you need it to match? Do you really need it complete with those jagged edges and the irregular weight between strokes?

Hi Justin, thanks for the reply. I am trying to duplicate this font as close as possible, but if I can get something close that is better than nothing! The jagged edges may be a result of me blowing up the image to take the screen capture. At normal size (10pt maybe) it is probably not even noticeable.

Actually, the jagged edges seem the result of an impact/thermal printer. These machines have their own proprietary typefaces which reside inside the hardware. So it’s very unlikely you will be able to find an exact match.
You could search for bold monospaced fonts and for license plate fonts, which share some characteristics with the samples. You could also try to recreate it with Fontstruct (fontstruct.com).

Thanks for the information and references!
