Ways of displaying paragraphs?

Claire Bibio

Hello! I'm wondering how many other ways are there to show paragraphs, I know about four. Could you show examples. Thank you very much as always.

From the New York Times Magazine, 1985.
This is a mixture of justified and rag right.
I don't know if it has a name, although I can imagine what some people might call it…

InDesign's palette offers 9 (which could ultimately brought down to 2: ragged and justified).

And for something completely different, you could start here:

Check this.

The Adobe proliferation is around different ways to end a paragraph.
There are also different ways to start, e.g. indent/no indent/negative indent (hanging), drop cap, raised initial; and type changes—e.g. small caps/all caps for a few words, then to U&lc.
