Nick, I mean this particular version, which is unusually outlined.

Grepping through Letraset books might work. Odessa LET is similar except for its AvantGarde-like look.

I found this today in Rookledge's Type Finder.
It's officially Gill Sans Shadow Line.

It doesn't seem to be available in a digital format.
Probably wouldn't be too hard to create from Gill Sans Bold…

The file on Eric Gill at the Klingspor museum has a scan of GS Shadow Line.

I got a hi-res scan from Rookledge's but the specimen goes right to the gutter so it is not ideal as it bends round the page. I am going to use that for the project pitch and see where I end up.

If anyone has any alternatives (Té mentioned Odessa for example) that would be great. Even better if they are available digitally.
