If anyone saw the recent Coen brothers film "True Grit" what are the typefaces used in the opening credits and title, and the closing credits?
Thanks in advance!!
-Ross
I've been wondering the same thing. I've been searching for an image since I left the theater yesterday but have been unable to find one.
I was particularly struck by the one of the typefaces that had a very unique R. It was a straight leg with what I suppose you could describe as an ink trap where the leg met the bowl. It was quite beautiful (even to the point where after the movie I sketched it on a receipt as inspiration for a face I am working on).
this took me less than two minutes to find...

Just saw the movie. The fonts in the credits are: Engraver's Roman Bold, Nicolas Cochin, Caslon Open Face, and (in the closing credit roll) either Della Robbia or Cantoria.
The first one is similar to Blackoak, but not as bold. The second one is Memphis Extra Bold.
Almost forgot: The ampersand is from Cooper Black.
