Intertitles from Masculin Féminin

chuck

Does anyone know the typeface used for these intertitles from Godard's Masculin Féminin?

I'm pretty sure the dotted upper case "I"s were done by Godard himself because in other films he used Antique Olive with a dotted "I" which as far I know does not have a dotted "I".

Probably custom, but you may like the 'tribute' by Atelier Carvalho Bernau › http://carvalho-bernau.com/jlg/

Thanks for Atelier Carvalho Bernau's tribute, it's not the typeface but it's really cool.

That thread was useful. I think E.S. is correct about it being a custom Neuzeit Grotesk.

I'd even venture so far as to say these are all hand-drawn--note the inconsistencies in the Is, Rs, Ps...
