Sans serif font to compliment Baskerville

Julian

I have a designed a logo using Baskerville.

I will also be using Baskereville text for the stationery address lines etc.

I am looking for a sans serif to compliment the Baskerville for some other applications.

I would welcome suggestions.

I don't think it should look to modern.

Mr. Eaves perhaps.

FWIW, John Sans from Storm Type Foundry and Mr Eaves from Emigre both have roots in Baskerville.

thanks for your replie, John Sans and Mr Eaves feel to contemporary to me. The font doesn't have to match visually - it can have visual contrast to the Baskerville but also work well with it.

I have short-listed:

Gill Sans
Granby
Monotype Grotesque

Figgins Sans may be more to your liking.

Figgins Sans reminds me of English Egyptian which Christian Schwartz made a version of at one time. I don't feel that Figgins would work that well with Baskerville. I think it takes it to far the other way, needs to be more 20th Century than 19th.

alright sans

"Old-fashioned" sans serifs with similar (small x-height) proportions to Baskerville:
Legacy Sans
Sebastian
Seria Sans

Thank you Nick. I will take a look.

For some reason I am swaying towards Franklin Gothic, although I'm probably wrong.
