More likely from the 30s, and may not be a font. Electric Signmakers of the era often used the same lettering chapbooks and periodicals as paper signmakers.

You might find something close on the Bowfin Printworks Bauhaus-Style Font Identification Guide, which includes a lot of '70s typeface designs that were revivals of '30s lettering styles.
