Even the Germans overuse Arial?

Darkgreenblue

Granted, this is an academic journal, with a boring text-only cover; not much design involved here. Nevertheless, despite all the great German sanserifs out there, someone decided "How about Arial?... Good enough!" A universal cop-out, I guess.

The use of Arial is a matter of availability, lazyness and not knowing any better – not a design choice. That’s a global phenomenon. As global as Windows.
