Excellence Font - Very Similar to Arial

rhiannaw

I've found a lot of fonts similar to this one, but not the exact font. If anyone has any ideas, it's very much appreciated!

.... arial

Some of the letters (the 'l' and 'n' especially) seem to have varied stroke widths though, unless I'm mistaken.

i can "slightly" see hints of it wanting to be serif on the l and the N but its so subtle that i would say its customized on the 2 letters from arial. the main thing that leads me to say this is that the X has no hint of a serif...

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you very much!

no problem

It's close to Arial, but it's not. I just placed your jpeg in illustrator and type in Arial over it, and there are some difference. The angle on the stroke of the "e" is different, the opening to the counter in the "c" is more closed in Arial, the way the arm joins the stem in the "n" is different.

Any ideas as to what it might be?

Still looking for this font - very similar to Arial but with a few key differences. Any help is greatly appreciated.

im starting to think that the LL and the N are a separate font face... but I'm leaning towards Standard CT for the rest.

this might be a job for good ole nick curtis :)

I think this is from the latin part of a japanese font.
Kaku Gothic, system font on my mac, looks like it.
Your sample is squooshed a bit.

I tested it and it matches perfectly, without even squooshing.
You have a winner, and that’s me.

A perfect match! Wow, I never would have found that one. Thanks so much for your help!

haha nice jan... never would have though to look in the japanese fonts >_<

Actually the slightly flared terminals/stroke-ends were the clue.

yeah i am still working on learning to identify fonts... im like 2 months into doing it... but im getting there hopefully haha. Takes quite a bit of dedication huh. But with all things it will come naturally as time goes by. :)
