Anyone knows how to remove hundreds of random guidelines?
Is there any macro?, or something?
Thanks in advance!

vguides = fl.font.vguides
vguides.clean()
hguides = fl.font.hguides
hguides.clean()
fl.UpdateFont()
(I know this code is also on the Flickr page, but it might be handier to have it here.)

Get a PC...
Very helpful, Old Nick. Next time you get a virus should he tell you to get a Mac?

Probably not for very much longer...

the kind of thing that tends to motivate hackers...
@ oldnick
And how to remove all global guidelines more comfortable on PC? Is there a command in FontLab? By the way, random guidelines. Does this mean the same as global guidelines?
@ Chris
With each new Mac user the Mac becomes more attractive for virus programers. It’s not safer, because it is so much better programed, as far as I know.

Get a FontForge...
or even better:
Get a Linux and run FontForge on it...
;)
@Craig @Mark:
Thanks you very much!
Works great.
@Nick
I am on a PC already.
I know people working with the stable FontLab windows version on a windows virtial machine on their mac.
Regarding the "unstable" Mac version of FontLab: Your mileage may vary.
I'm on a Mac, running the Mac version, but I seldom get crashes or run into serious bugs. I have run into the exploding guidelines bug maybe two or three times ever. (FWIW.)

I know, Arno, I was just teasing Oldnick for proselytising PCs when they are no problem-free environment either. I don't care care which platform people choose as long as they don't insist everyone else do the same.

My sentiments exactly...
I remember running into the exploding guidelines issue quite regularly for about a week. Then I stopped doing whatever sequences of actions triggered it....

I'm in FontLab every day and I've never seen this bug. I guess that means . . . I'm just not hardcore.
Thomas,
Were you using a Mac or a PC when you had the problem? and do you know "which" sequence of actions triggerd it?
@ Ray: It just means you are lucky ;-)
I honestly don't remember the details... it was at least two years ago, maybe three or four.
T
Thanks, Thomas. It has happened to me at least twice in the last 4 years but I have no idea what brought it on. I was using a Mac though, other than that, I have no clue.
