Tahoma, Lucida Sans.

Thanks for that.

Does anyone have some more unusual suggestions?

I have been searching the font shops and coming across the usual suspects over and over again.

Inspiration needed!

Allumni

Perhaps if you describe what it is about Verdana you like and why Verdana isn't working, it'd be easier to suggest something.

Frutiger springs to mind. There’s also Neue Frutiger but I haven’t had a chance to inspect it up close.

The new Audi corporate font!

Verdana compared to the Audi font, is like comparing a 1994 Audi 100S to a 2008 Audi A8L.

Also Prima/Vera/DejaVu

Thanks for all your suggestions people!

You've been very helpful indeed.
