Need expert help!

LauraFerrariPina

It's my first time using this forum. I have a college project on typography, need to identify 36 different fonts, the problem is.. letters are isolated, which means What the Font is not been very helpfull...

I'd be glad if anyone could help!
Thanks in advance...

How about posting (smaller) images that don't require constant scrolling to see the typefaces?

I second Nick’s remark.
In order to identify the faces, you could try http://www.whatfontis.com/ too.
Also, for E, you could search for "initials" and "ornate".

The project requires you to identify the typefaces? If typophilers help you, wouldn't that be cheating?

I agree with seventy7.

On the display size issue; ctrl scroll down or ctrl minus or get firefox. :-P

Mmmm.... depends who knows where the answers came from, it could be an exercise in initiative.

For the OP, http://www.reddit.com/r/typography/ might be able to help you out (in addition to the experts here! more eyes, etc), and I recommend making a gallery of these images on imgur.com

I'm sure I've seen your first 'a' somewhere, I'll get back to you if I find it.

Thank you very much, mrgraphics.
Just to clear things out, the real purpose of the project is to find efficient ways to identify fonts, ways that we can later use in our future professional life, so
technically, if it works, this wouldn't be cheating... :b

Glad you like! An interesting project too; is there a finite answer I wonder- also, what have your colleagues been doing? Are there similar posts within Typophile from/by them?
Post us the link for the reddit thread, if you should make one, I'm curious how the hivemind will respond. Also, reddit is a great resource for this kind of endeavour.

...still...can't...find...the 'a' !!

I found the E or, better, I found a not so good digitalisation of it:
http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/intellecta/bad-situation/

QED, I searched for "ornate".

Wow! Thank you!
I thought finding something similar to this E would b the most difficult... (i found out its original is from a 1950's book)
Could you tell me where exactly did you searched for "ornate"?

Never mind i just found out! dah!

My colleagues are using forums to, but mostly on My Font...
There's one collegue of mine that's also using Typophile: http://typophile.com/node/75335
she has a "super strange font" to identify... good luck helping her... but help me to! : D

Has for the reddit link:
http://www.reddit.com/r/typography/top/?t=week
but I didn't get lots of help... :p

The /o/ is Deftone Stylus by Ray Larabie.

As for the /a/, I don't know this one. Something tells me it's to be had at the bottom of a pile of free sci-fi/techno fonts.

Thank you! U were right about Deftone Stylus! : )
(as may already know... :b)
