(x) type used in homepage ads for iStockphoto redesign - RNS Camelia {Florian}

codi

Hello there!

It seems the iStockphoto website went through a major overhaul recently, and their large homepage ads feature an elegant, geometric, light-weight (slab serif?) font that I simply adore. Below is a screencap of one of the ads for convenience. I thought it might be Inlove by Sudtipos, or a modification thereof, but now I'm not sure.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,
Codi

why aren't you sure?

why aren't you sure?

I'm not sure because I don't trust my font identification skills until proven correct by outside sources. And, I'm pretty good at talking myself into believing something one minute, then talking myself out of believing it the next.

After taking an even closer look at the character set, perhaps my initial assumption was correct indeed.

Well, you were right before you were wrong: I think your initial ID is spot-on...

Thank you for the affirmation (and the confidence boost!) :)

I am sorry to smash your confidence, but this is RNS Camelia – ‘Inspirada en la inmortal Avant Garde, añadiéndole sus zapatos para asistir a la ópera.’ See also this thread.

And do you also happen to know what the font is called that is used in the text block below ("Log in or Sign up now" in this example)?

Trebuchet.

But that's not exactly the same as "Trebuchet MS", is it?
The "g" looks different.

It is.
Take it or leave it.

Sorry, that was because of the low resolution in the iStockPhoto image.
Thanks.
