Looking for ... slab sans serif ...

Right next to the upright italic.

Racy is in speedy, or racy as in off-color?

No one that has many of the qualities of a beloved sports car: Which is agile, steady, suave, confident, and stylish.

I seen the description for Vitesse on their website so I was wanting to know of those choices which would even be close to being an alternative for Vitesse

The description, otherwise known as "romance copy," doesn't necessarily bear any resemblance to reality, and I can't see that Vitesse has any of the qualities it touts any more than, say http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/berthold/city-be/ , to which it bears more than a passing resemblance...

Ok. It just seemed as though alternatives seemed a little to different than Vitesse.

So are you looking for a slab or a sans?

For a sans, you could try Eurostile or Eurostile Next:
