Title says it all. In an italic face, does one slope it or not?

The pilcrow: to slope or not to slope?
From my limited experience, thou shall not slope.
But you could add some italic feel to it.
Slope it on the off-chance that a users is using italic when quoting a long chunk of text containing pilcrows.
