Woah, lets just say I played with it for 5 minutes and was convinced! I have so many unfinished pixel types, they dwell in the darkness of greyscale tiffs and see the light about once a month. If I had this program

>this speed up your production 10 fold or what!

Waiting for Bitfonter greyscale to ttf feature.

Thanks to teh Bitfonter developers in advance,

mh.

Miguel,

How do you expect this new feature work? Do you mean flash fonts generation or something else?

>Bitmap pixel fonts: for Flash (outline)

>Greyscale pixel fonts: for Flash (outline) and as a Photofont

>Color fonts: for Flash and as a Photofont

Q: Are Photophonts Flash compatible?

>Bitmap pixel fonts: for Flash (outline)
Do you mean the function "File>Export As Pixel Outline Font" is not enough? Sorry, I don't know Flash well.

>Greyscale pixel fonts: for Flash (outline) and as a Photofont
? What's this? ^^^^^ Special font format?

>Color fonts: for Flash and as a Photofont
I think the question should read: "When Macromedia will support the usage of color fonts and Photofont technology?". Right?

Q: Are Photophonts Flash compatible?
A: No.

Johnych

Grayscale pixelfonts allow a designer to define the pixels as being a shade of gray, not just black or white. They do this by filling the "virtual pixels" with partial outlines. Please see the "A" that I just posted in this thread:
http://www.typophile.com/forums/messages/4101/52636.html
That glyph has a height of 12 pixels.

Some of us think there's no better form of onscreen text, not even ClearType.

It would be wonderful if BItFonter could output grayscale pixelfonts too.
You might want to talk to the UltraFonts people about it:

Thanks Hrant.

I see now what was meant.
