Similar to DIN with soft corners

gbrose

Please help me out. I am trying to figure out this typeface, it looks like DIN but it has rouned ends which are not characteristic of it. If you have any ideas let me know.

Thanks,
Greg

Looks like ITC Conduit.

It's a bit ropey, my font 'Chevin' is better if you want something rounded along the lines of Din. G-Type through Veer.

Well, thank you very much for your kind words Yves. I am sure I will enjoy my visits, and hopefully meet other new people across the ether.

Thanks C, you can call me Nick - no need for formality.

See Mcfont post.

You're right about Conduit, although it does have a similar crudeness.

There has been at least one attempt to round DIN's terminals.
It was a custom job. Where is this sample from?

FF DIN Rounded will be released sometime soon, but I'm sure it
will look better than this.

Looks very similar to "Tribeca" from Stereo Type Haus. (Not sure if this direct link will work. If not, go to www.stereotypehaus.com).

Laydeeez and gennelmun, please welcome Nick Cooke,
creator of fine faces, which include the aforementionned
Chevin, Stephen's favourite Geetype, while I'm kinda partial
to the delightful Nubian.

Welcome to Typophile, Mr. Cooke, hope you'll enjoy your visits.

Definitely not Conduit - I've set a few words in Conduit Light so you can see. I still think it's Tribeca :-)

Mr. Cooke - I covet Houschka (someone ID'd it for me here about a month or so ago).Conduit Sample

Thanks Nick, will do.

By the way I think Veer has your Houschka Alternate & Houschka packages backwards on their site, unless they fixed it :-)
