Nick Shinn4 May 2010 · 11:41It also bothers me that the stem widths on "U" are so different. Hopefully tolerances in the aircraft construction are more precise! What is that, Perpetua Bold? How quaint.
Stefan H4 May 2010 · 11:47Not to innovative... "as fresh as yesterdays diapers". Sort of fun thought, that they choose a British typeface for Americas largest airline! ;-)
Stefan H4 May 2010 · 11:50Btw. The text is rather small for that huge airplane. I would have made the logo much bigger! I get the feeling they say "Hey we're one on the biggest airlines now, but let us not tell any one..." I get an odd feeling somehow.
Si_Daniels4 May 2010 · 11:51I'm glad they're keeping the Death Star as part of the brand, it relates well to travellers experiences dealing with United flight attendants.
Nick Shinn4 May 2010 · 12:19I always think of the classic 1960s Helmut Krone Avis ads when I see Perpetua Bold. (Before my time, actually, but then, so is Perpetua.)
