Happy Birthday to my favorite place on the internet! It's interesting that of the places Nick mentions in his 2003 article, only Typophile continues with regular, active dialogue.

Typophile also has a large number of people posting from non-English speaking countries. This makes me wonder whether the type sites in other languages are less lively. Is this so?

I still remember the first time I saw David Berlow post something. It was something to the effect of, "Get back to work!", presumably addressed to FB employees posting here.
