Big Caslon cursive ...from where?

Do you know the beautiful cover design created by Paul Barnes for SchirmerGraf publishers? I think he uses Big Caslon roman and italic. Anyone knows where is Big Caslon italic available? Many thanks

Hi Carlos,

a search on Typophile brought up these threads:
Big Caslon italic
Swashy italic in Wallpaper - Big Caslon Italic
Big Caslon-like serif face on Penguin Books cover

What John Nolan said: See http://www.carterandcone.com/ for contact info.

Another option is Caslon 540 Italic with Swahes. You can access the swash z with the ‘+’ key, the f with long descender is hidden behind the ‘®’ (Gosh, do I love OpenType!).

Thank you very much, Florian. I made a search before posting,
but obviously didn't make it well...

You’re welcome!
The built-in search is broken. Try Google and restrict your search to this site by adding site:typophile.com to your query.

Oh, and ITC has an OpenType version of Caslon 540, incl. swashes.

Thanks again for the tip and extra info
