I think Berthold offers a version of Algerian without the shadow.

Huh? I don’t see a shadow in the Linotype version I linked to. Am I blind?

Sorry - I never checked the link :-) I remember that once upon a time the unshadowed version was a rarity. Assumed it still was :-)
