'South' Logotype: amateurish finger-sans caps

WChaplin

I'm redesigning a logo and they want an option using their existing type. Not sure if its a font or drawn.
Any help would be HUGELY appreciated.

I reckon it's a squashed Arial Black italic with some corners rounded off...

Peter

Actually, not even italic. Probably just skewed.

Could also have been drawn from scratch. Frankly I don't see a too-striking resemblance with Arial (check the curve/spine of the "S").

Why don't you ask 'them' what it is? BTW, what's going on with that kerning?

Nick Cooke

what’s going on with that kerning?

That's would be better as "what’s kerning?"
;-)

Thanks for the feedback. I suspected it was hand-drawn but thought it might be an obscure font someone knew.

@ Nick & riccard0 - in the actual logo the characters are all overlapping! I just grabbed the first five and put some space between them to submit to identifont.

'They' don't know - these are 2 good old 'blokes' who build stuff.

Thanks again.
