(x) 'pool VAC ultra': techno square - Planet Kosmos, Sofachrome (& Gentry?) {Andreas H, Mike Y}

bessd1

Check Scifi/Techno/Square at dafont or abstractfonts.
I’m pretty sure I know this one as free font.

The name is Planet Kosmos.

"VAC" is obviously custom.

Andreas

I think the VAC might be a font too, maybe one that could be found at the same site Jan mentioned.

- Mike Yanega

I think V and C are made to fit the A. If so it would be a font with many alternative characters, which I wouldn't expect to find on a freefont site.

Andreas

Andreas, I can't argue with your basic idea, but these letters looked familiar to me. The VA comes from Larabie's Sofachrome. The C may have been custom drawn, or it's from another font and just happens to work with these shapes.

- Mike Yanega

I think the C comes from Gentry by Rian Hughes, except that I think it is a modified G from that font. (I kept thinking I had seen that shape before.)

- Mike Yanega

Always amazing what you can dig up, Mike. I should have known Sofachrome but my font collection has been in a sad state for years now. :-(
Maybe the C was just mad up to fit the rest.
