I am trying to determine if this is a typeface or if it is completely custom. I am looking for a script as similar as possible so if anyone can recommend something it would be greatly appreciated.

(x) 'happy holidays' typeface or hand-drawn? - custom by Jessica Hische, various alternatives {Florian, Rainer}
It’s clever, nice and custom. Have a closer look at the details of the repeating characters, they are all different.
To mimick this beauty with actual typefaces is difficult. Try Sneaker Script or Giddyup for more rope-like fonts.
Yeah I had a feeling it was custom. Sneaker Script looks like a nice staring point in executing something along those lines. Thanks!
This is custom lettered by Jessica Hische.
