I designed that for Root. You should have seen the original - abysmal.

Burges Script by script genius Alejandro Paul is a typeface with lots of alternates and flourishes

Beautiful work Nick!

Thank you very Nick for your answer. I really love your creation! Where could we see the original abysmal?
Burges Script is indeed a great suggestion. Thank you for this. May be some would have other suggestions...

Thanks.

Happy to oblige...

Thank you very much! Very beautiful work! The flow is incredible. You did an impressive improvement (IMHO). The "a" and "s" have been totally redrawn and i's dot incorporated in the ornament. Really love it, can't stop watching it... Thanks again for your time.

http://Compendium is another of Ale Paul's beautiful scripts with flourishes, if you want other ideas. You can search on Fancy script to find more.

Another beautiful new OpenType Script with many flourishes, ornaments, frames and alternate letterforms is Panos Vassiliou's Champion Script Pro.

Excellent work Nick!

Is there any chance we could see the new wordmark straight on in a similar size to the original? Everything on Root's site is shot at an angle. TIA.

Thanks a lot Mike for these 2 others similars. Compendium and Champion Script are very good substitutes.

Sure Jeff, here you go...

Nick, it is lovely!... and thanks for your suggestions ;)

Nick!... you are the eFFin man! That is sick!

Thanks everybody.

Ryuk, may I ask how you happened to see this? I'm curious to know as I only did it 2 months ago for a fairly small design company in the UK - you're in Japan and you've seen it already.

Nick Cooke

My pleasure Nick. It comes from a very recent post on http://Grafikcache, saying that ROOT had lauched their new website.
Thank you for posting your artwork straight! Gorgeous!

Love this thread... Nick beautiful work!
